Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to standard questions about walking, pledging, and donation processes.
How does the pledge work?
Select the amount you want to pledge per step (e.g. €0.03). Throughout the month, you log your steps daily. At the end of the month, the system calculates your daily average steps and applies the chosen pledge amount to determine the amount to pay.
The calculation is made as follows:
Daily average steps × pledge amount = amount to pay
Example:
Daily average steps in the month: 5,000
Pledge amount: €0.03 per step
5,000 × €0.03 = €150.00
Note: the calculation is based on the daily average steps logged during the month, and not on the total accumulated steps.
Do I need to walk every day?
No, participation is flexible. You can log steps every day, enter a consolidated total on the weekend, or submit a single entry at the end of the month.
Where does the money go? Do you collect donations?
We never collect or move money. All donations are sent directly to APDH. At the end of each month, on your profile, you should transfer the amount shown in "Estimated Donation" and click "I have donated".
Can I hide my profile from the public leaderboard?
Yes, we value your privacy. You can enable or disable this option in the registration form or account settings at any time.
What if I forget to log my steps?
Don't worry! You can add steps retrospectively for the current month at any time. If you miss a couple of days, you can log them individually or add them as a single consolidated entry.
