How does the pledge work? ↓
Select the amount you want to pledge per step (e.g. €0.03). Throughout the month, you log your steps daily. At the end of the month, the system calculates your daily average steps and applies the chosen pledge amount to determine the amount to pay.
The calculation is made as follows:
Daily average steps × pledge amount = amount to pay
Example:
Daily average steps in the month: 5,000
Pledge amount: €0.03 per step
5,000 × €0.03 = €150.00
Note: the calculation is based on the daily average steps logged during the month, and not on the total accumulated steps.
Do I need to walk every day? ↓
No, participation is fully flexible. You can log your steps daily, submit a single consolidated total at the end of every week, or submit one monthly total. All logs are standardized into monthly contributions.
Where does the money go? Do you collect donations? ↓
We never collect money directly. All donations are made directly through the official donation channels of the Portuguese Huntington’s Disease Association (APDH). Once you complete your direct donation, click "I have donated" in your dashboard and log your reference.
Can I hide my statistics from the public leaderboard? ↓
Yes, absolutely. We value your privacy. You can enable or disable public leaderboard visibility inside your registration form or under the dashboard profile settings. If disabled, your steps still count in all collective fundraising counters anonymously, but your profile will not appear on the public leaderboard.
